To protect myself against identity theft, etc, I thought it would be smart to change my date of birth in my Hotmail/Outlook.com account to 2013 so the actual date couldn't be in any way public. Immediately I was kicked out of my account that I use multiple
times a day and got the message "You need a parent's permission Before you can sign in to this Microsoft account and use it with Microsoft websites and services, you need a parent's permission. If your parent is available now, ask them to sign in to this PC."
There's no link to try to verify my account with a credit card. I'm pretty sure I didn't set up a parent account around 18 years ago when I opened this account. I have faxed a copy of my driver's license twice by following the instructions here. Is there any hope that I'll get my account back? I use it for my business and there are many emails I need access to as soon as possible. I'm completely fine with the whole world knowing my birth date as long as I can have it back!! Thank you!
