Dear Microsoft Community:

I recently upgraded my PC operating system from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. At first I had a difficult time finding my way around, but now for most functions and apps, I enjoy working with Windows 10.

My question is concerning the E-mail function. I have searched everywhere on the main screens and settings options, but I have not been able to find where I can expand my messages to full screen mode. With Windows 8.1, I was able to expand the screen. I have an ASUS 200 PC Notebook with touch screen & magnifying capabilities, however, I have very poor eyesight and need to enlarge the screen quite often.

Please show me how I may find the full screen mode for my messages. It would be a BIG help.

Thank you for your kind assistance.

Cordially,

Gary H. Horton

This morning after receiving many E-mail messages, when I open WLMail, it stops of "Authorizing" and a windows appears asking for my E-mail address and password. What do I have to do to get the E-mails to download.
I was using microsoft live mail. I recently changed my PC to a newer model. Now I cannot access my old files or contact lists.  How canI retrieve these...?  Thank you

My email seems to be stuck in the outbox. Also there is no "send/receive" button. Here is the error message I get: There was an error while publishing photos.

Subject 'wood pile garden layout'
Server: 'smtp.centurylink.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800C0014
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 587
Secure(SSL): No

Why am I having such of a hard time trying to install Essentials Live to use the mail that I always used.....Why is it that someone in their so called great wisdom decides to "improve" the software......it was WORKING GREAT.........why the need for OUTLOOK to take over the mail service.   I did a fresh install of Windows 7, did all the upgrades, tried to install Essentials Live 2012, but after it downloaded and tried to install, I get an error code, basically saying that I need to make sure that the FIRWALL in ON.......hmmmmm FIREWALL was ON.... so the software could not detect that the firewall was on.........so, really nobody knows what the @#$%^&*@#$ is going on....WHY is MICROSOFT forcing us to use OUTLOOK..... is it easier for OTHERS to look at our mail? WHEN something works, WHY would you want to #$@% with it??????

Original Title: Windows Mail Live in Windows 10.

I have a new laptop with Windows 10 on it.  My old laptop had Vista on it.   I browsed various forums and am in a quandary as to what to do to get Windows Mail on the new laptop.  I did find a Windows Mail folder in Windows Explorer after guidance from one of the posts.  However, the folder does not have an application file or any way to activate it.  So much for "live and well in Windows 10".  I am reluctant to download the application from the searches as I need to be sure it is a current download.  So many of the search results are older and Microsoft may have updated/fixed any glitches.  I have always used Windows Mail as I track 5 different e-mail addresses and it is the easiest for my needs, especially with one inbox.  How do I get the program download and do I need to know anything that needs to be tweaked once downloaded?

Hello, I made the mistake of upgrading from W8.1 to W10, within 24 hours I re-instated W8.1. However of course it is not that simple, now I cannot open a PDF or a Jpeg within the Outlook email app. I can right click and save but it does not question where I would like it saved and it seems to be saving in the photo app. Whilst I mention the photo app, I can no longer transfer a photo to my desktop account and of course it lost the one that was there before all the changes. Back with the email programme it is also now not possible to send a PDF file, strangely enough I can attach it and call it up from within the email but not send it. I have looked at the forums and check various settings but cannot find the one that might be blocking the feature, any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Brian

Did the problem with the lost distribution lists in Windows Live Mail ever resolve?  If so, can anyone please tell me how they did it because it's driving me crazy.
