Hello,

I am trying to move storage folders from Windows Live Mail 2012 to the Mail app in Windows 10, as explained in "Windows Live Mail 2012 will not connect to Outlook.com", under "Move data to Mail app for Windows" - "For locally stored emails".

Problem: drag and drop or copy/paste functions (under #4) do not work.

Question: how can I activate either one of those two functions?

Thank you.

I started having this problem within the past couple of weeks ...

You replied to a three-year-old post in a four-year-old thread. A great deal has changed in the meantime ...

G'day,

I sent a question before asking why I could not send photos with my e-mail.

Now I cannot open my windows mail.  I get a sign saying it is trying to send mail.  I cannot open my mail to delete the messages with the photos.

I would appreciate any help please.  I have two computers so I can use the other computer if I receive mail.

Cheers Perry

Where is the settings button in the latest version of Windows Live Mail?   Even the TalkTalk experts couldn't find it.

Have been using Windows Live mail with Windows 8 & 8.1 for a long time with no problem. All of a sudden it won't send e-mails from my netcarrier accounts but it will receive - no problem. It will send & receive from my Windstream account. I have made no changes to my system other than windows updates when the problem showed up. I have tried with & without SSL and ports 25 & 587 with no success. Don't know why the sudden problem.

When I am at home in my own network everything works correctly however when I'm away at either a convention or visiting someone outside my network I can receive my mail but cannot send from WLM.  I have tried to create new rules in my firewall for outgoing Windows Live Mail traffic but nothing seems to help.  The messages just sit in the OUTBOX. However at home this does not happen. I can go directly to my webmail account and send and received but WLM will not send.   Any suggestions?

Windows Live Mail. Incoming messages are being received, but outgoing messages are not sent. Drop down error message states, "Messages cannot be sent" Error message "452" and "550".

How do I fix this.

Original title: Error Message 550

The recent email from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** stated:

" It appears that you are currently using Windows Live Mail 2012 to connect to your Out‍look‍.‍com account. Windows Live Mail 2012 does not support the synchronization technologies used by the new Outl‍ook‍.‍com. When account upgrades begin at the end of June, you will no longer be able to receive email sent to your Out‍look‍.‍com account in Windows Live Mail 2012".

Is this true for Live Mail 2011?  I don't have Live Mail 2012 (or are they the same thing?)  Are there any options?

Thanks.

Albert

Original Title: Live Mail Error

The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing email [SMTP] server might need to be configured. To find the server settings for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***', please contact your email service provider. Error ID: 0x800CCC79

Found the problem: In an address I  spelled verizon.net as verizone.net. I redid the email with the proper verizon.net spelling and the email went ok. How do I get rid of the original error? The yellow triangle with the ! in the center?
