Months ago my entire list of contacts for Windows Live Mail was replaced by an old list from the 1990s (most of these had not been used in years and were never installed on this computer).  Also all my facebook friends were added to my contacts!  I know of NO REASON for this occurrence!  I have found no help with this problem anywhere.  It was suggested by someone with computer knowledge that installation of Windows 10 possibly would bring everything back to normal.  This didn't work!  I do love W10 however!  Can anyone help?

I have several programs that have been unable to sync through the Internet or Wi-Fi.  It first came up when CompanionLink, which syncs my Outlook calendar and contacts with DejaOffice on my Android phone, kept failing to connect through Wi-Fi, although I was able to sync it with a direct USB connection (a nuisance, though) .  Then I noticed the message on Windows Live Mail that "There was an error when attempting to connect to the Windows Live Calendar service".  This seemed strange since I use Live Mail for email, but Outlook for my calendar, and as far as I know I don't have any WLM calendar service.  I then found that when I try to download from bank accounts to Quicken, I get a message that Quicken is unable to connect to the Internet, and if I try to go into the help files on Quicken, Windows Live Mail or Outlook, i also get messages that suggest the computer is offline.  This is the case even though I am able to access the Internet through my browser (Google Chrome) with no problem.  This is becoming a serious problem, as it is impacting much of what I use my computer for, and any help in resolving it would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Windows Live Mail has a calendar on the right hand side of the page.  I don't want or need this calendar.  How do I get rid of it?

Just moved to a new email address and vendor.  Set up the Windows Live with the old account and the new account.  Was having problems sending and receiving on the new account.  Talked with the Tech Support for the new vendor of my new email account. They had me change the settings to turn off the send/receive on the old account because it is no longer serviced.  (Was keeping the old account for only contacts and old email review).

Was still receiving errors so the Tech Support had me exit Windows Live.  When we tried to go back in, it froze trying to send emails from the old account.  Even though we turned the option of send/receive on the old account, it must be frozen because there were some old ones that were probably still sitting in the Outbox.  The status is "Executing" but the progress line is not moving and it seems to be in a loop.

Need to find out how to get back into Windows Live to delete the old emails from the Outbox of the old email account.  But, it won't let me in to change settings.  It freezes on the Send/receive dialog when I open Windows Live.  Anyone know what I can do to get past this?

I have a Vista OS with Live Mail 2010 on my computer.  In the past the MS Hotmail server sent Junk mail in accordance with the designation--safe sender or domain or junk--I established for the various senders.  Now, however, the Outlook system server sends some junk,  but leaves most junk on the Outlook server.  I do not see that junk mail downloaded to my computer  unless I move it to inbox while signed in to my MS Hotmail account.   It then will be sent to  my computer and its Inbox.

How do I regain the distribution of Junk mail that the Outlook server somehow decides is Junk?

How do I establish that mail from senders and domains that I do NOT want to be Junk is not considered Junk by the Outlook server and is sent routinely to my Inbox?

I would like to delete all contacts in windows live mail. There are over 800 due to some doubling up. I've highlighted them all but the delete  X in the ribbon bar remains grey so will not allow me to press delete.

I went to people.live and tried there but nothing seems to work. can anyone help please.

The indent in Live Mail is far to the left, it can be changed by clicking on the 'format paragraph' icon. I want to set it in further to the right, and have it stay there, or be there, when I compose new mail. How can it be set to default more to the right?
