I've always viewed by hotmail via Outlook but now there's something wrong with the account. It will not retain or accept my password (even though I check the save box). I've tested my password several times in the regular web view of Hotmail/Outlook.com and it's correct. I've also tried deleting the hotmail file from Outlook and re-loaded it, thinking that an old password is somehow being stored somewhere. Is there a registry setting somewhere that I can reset?
Is there a tech support that I can call? Any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks
Now I'm staring at a blank document. I've lost my entire paper, and I'm reasonably certain that there is nothing that can be done about it. Microsoft you get an F- for this. Skydrive is unstable, and deletes documents...this shouldn't happen.
Hey Guru's,
We recently migrated a client to Skydive; Their workstations are all Windows 7 Pro. We installed the desktop app to sync all their documents and files across several computers;
When they open a document via Windows Explorer, and choose to SAVE AS in Word (this happens in excel too I believe), no matter what I do, Word contacts a web server and the saving process takes anything up to 2 minutes to complete, during which time Word is "not responding"
How can I configure things such that Word always simply saves the document to the local Skydive folder on C:\ and lets the desktop app worry about syncing it.
external email account successfully. However when I try to configure the smtp server I get the
above error message. The server settings I am using work fine in windows live mail 2012 and
also mozilla thunderbird and previously did with outlook express and windows mail.
If I try to import the settings from live mail, the settings displayed are correct, but I still get the
same error.
Judging from the plethora of hits I find relating to this or a similar issue this has to be an
Outlook.com problem. The only solutions offered seem to be requests to try Live Mail to
see if that works with the same settings. Well it does just fine. So how can we progress to a solution ?
