Hi - I’m having serious sync issues with SkyDrive on Windows 8.1
Uploads and downloads are stuck on “pending” and I can’t seem to resolve. Trying to summarise the various postings and actions I have taken to date includes:
I am definitely connected to the internet
SkyDrive Sync Engine is running and does not crash, "Sky Drive Sync Engine Host" process is running.
SkyDrive app shows no errors – but continually shows “pending” on downloading and uploading
SkyDrive Desktop (File explorer view) shows the blue arrows indicating a sync activity (no yellow triage or red x
Files have standard filenames
I have run the SkyDrive troubleshooter – which it always just ticks the “SkyDrive restart and Maintenance” – no other issues found
I have tried removing the offending files from the SkyDrive folder, which clears the upload/download status in the SkyDrive app, but as soon as I put them back into the folder they re-appear in the stuck on pending status
I have stopped SkyDrive, deleted the contents of %localappdata%\Microsoft\SkyDrive and rebooted
I have moved the local folder out of SkyDrive which contains the offending files, deleted it from the skydrive web site, then moved the folder back into the local skydrive folder. It seems to sync all items apart from the offending file
Cleared SkyDrive recycle bin (in case it was somehow caching)
Cleared MS Office Upload Centre cache
Tried to empty the SkyDrive Recycle bin (which allegedly has over 47K items?!), but just keeps hanging when I try using “Empty Recycle Bin” on the SkyDrive website
Any advice or pointers would be much appreciated
When I log into my hotmail account I cannot seem to open any of the emails. Also if I select the emails by ticking the checkbox and click the bin to delete them nothing happens. I've cleared the temporary internet files and cookies but still no joy.
regards
Tony Dooley

Although my Outlook mail is empty including all folders, I cannot receive any mail to my Outlook mail account. At first I got this email.
It looks like your account is growing really fast.
Outlook.com storage is designed to grow at a rate that serves the needs of the vast majority of our customers. Once in a while, a customer's storage needs grow faster than expected. We've provisioned additional storage for your account, but you might want to delete some of your old mail.
Here are a few suggestions to help you manage your account:
- Sweep your inbox clean. You can delete all messages from unwanted senders in a few clicks. Learn how.
- Let Outlook.com manage your Newsletters. Schedule automatic cleanups with Sweep so you only keep the latest deals or newsletters. Learn how.
- Make the rules work for you. You can set up your Outlook.com account to automatically delete unwanted email. Click Options, click More Options, and then click Rules for Sorting New Messages.
- Unsubscribe or mark unwanted mail as Junk. You can find Unsubscribe links within some of the Newsletters you receive. If you can't find them, mark the mail as Junk and Outlook.com will begin filtering such mails to the Junk Folder.
- Create an Archive on your Hard Drive. Set up a folder on your PC hard drive where you can save large attachments. Then delete them from your inbox.
- Store your data on SkyDrive. Save large attachments to SkyDrive, then delete them from your inbox. Learn about SkyDrive.

What's wrong?
Every time I tried to open my Outlook email, I get this message (see below). I am already in my email, so I do not understand why it is prompting for a password. Not only that, the password is clearly already inputted in the message.
My browser isn't remembering the email or password for the login page at live.com, either for outlook.com email or the login for MS Answers. The password manager for Firefox is working on other sites (it asks me if I want it to save new passwords, and it inserts the password for sites already saved). I do have the same problem, whether in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Cookie management doesn’t seem to matter. This problem exists regardless of whether I clear out cookies, or have them saved.
