I've set up an alias on my Outlook.com account and use it to sign up for newsletters and to set up accounts with online retailers. Very useful. The problem is how do I send an email from a plussed alias? I can only seem to send emails/respond to emails
from the base alias address; this makes the alias feature less than useful. If this is all it can do then it's really no more than a glorified catch-all email address, it's not a proper alias.
Is it possible to send email from a plussed alias? i.e *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

I have setup an OUTLOOK.COM email account
I previously used Windows Live Mail installed on my laptop
I started to upload my emails from Windows Live Mail to Outlook.com
Nearly all of my inbox uploaded successfully but none on my SENT emails uploaded and some Inbox emails also failed to upload.
I get the message below.
Every time I "Try Again" I get the same results
I can send and receive emails using the Outlook.com account without problem.
Any ideas?

I've sent in a form twice and asked for assistance three times, I've been receiving the same automated messages and not much else to help so I can explain the problem a bit more thoroughly, they said the account violated the terms of service, I'm aware
but I'm not sure how, I wanted to clarify that I have no idea how due to me never using the account, Without that account I have hundreds of dollars and thousands of hours lost being unable to sign into xbox, That account is in good standing and I feel its
unfair. Either way I desperately need it back, they NEVER told me what they could do about, just told me it violated the terms and thats it, I want to know what I can do to either unblock my live account or get the account switched to this live email.

I cannot get my email to work properly. I keep getting the message: your server wants to alert you to the following: 274 That mail is not currently available.
Any ideas please. I am self employed and wasted so much time setting this up this weekend. I wish I had stuck to Office 2007 - had no problems and the layout was more colourful!1

I have had an account for many years, with an old email address. Most of my services are linked to that account.
When I installed Windows 8, I used my new email address - more or less forgetting at the time that I had the other account.
There is apparently no way to merge accounts, so I figured I would delete the new account (as it had very little information attached), and then add the new email address as an alias to the old account.
I have successfully deleted the new account, but I can't add the address as an alias as it states it's "in use". Will I eventually be able to do this once something refreshes, or is that email address locked permanently?
