Hi
ever since updating to 8.1 I am getting the error 0x800705b4 everytime I try to download a file on my computer (a file I uploaded to skydrive from work to then use at home.
I rad on line many others have the same issue and so far there is not much help around.
Any suggestion? I am rather dissapointed by the windows experience so far.. seriously considering going back to google drive.
Have already given up my Microsoft phone and tablet... the rest is about to follow soon!
Regards
I have submitted a request to have domain.com (127.0.0.1) (Would be happy to provide the masked private information only to a Microsoft Employee.) removed from the blacklist to allow for traffic coming from our Exchange
server to your domains. Our IP address has not sent any email to your domain since the blacklisting. Our domain is still registered as "E-mail address harvesting". We have setup accounts with Junk Email Reporting program (JMRP) and Smart Network Data Services
program (SNDS) programs that your company has configured for monitoring. Is there anything else we need to complete in order to send email to your privately protected managed domains (Hotmail.com, MSN.com, Outlook.com, Live.com, etc)
Chatting and calling Microsoft to find out more information on this topic is inconclusive.
Hi,
Have been sent numerous emails to change my credit card details due to them changing and my account renewal being due. Without realising I updated my security details and now its locked me out to update the details until it sorts itself out!
Its been nearly a week now and I'm worried something will happen to my Hotmail account due to none payment.
There is no help, or anyone I can speak to help say in billing.
Are you able to help at all?
Many thanks.
I'm trying to set up
Thunderbird to sync with a
hotmail account using
IMAP protocols, but am unable to log in from T'bird. When I set up the T'bird server settings I followed the manual config instructions as per
T'bird help. Also
at
Outlook help. When restarting Thunderbird, I get a pop up that says "Login to server imap-mail.outlook.com failed" then prompts to Enter New Password. When I do so it says "Mail Server PW Required for *** Email address is removed for privacy ***@imap-mail.outlook.com ". Is that even an address? When I put
in the known good PW (works at Outlook.com) it goes back to the login fail msg, lather-rinse-repeat.
Any clue what I'm doing wrong here?
It's an XP laptop I'm trying to set up for my dad who had a stroke and is in a facility with no public terminals. He's never used his own PC before, using machines at work or the library, so he's just used html page for email, never a client, and has maybe
100 folders (!!) he keeps mail in, and needs to sync to his laptop (hence the IMAP rather than POP3).
Thanks for any help anybody can offer!

Regards,
Today I made a new email account, but when I try to send a mail to my other account (different provider), i cannot send it. I keep getting the message that the subject line is missing. Whatever I type, it only shows up red and nothing happens. As an experiment
I tried to send a mail from my other account to this new account. No problem there.
Am I missing something? Why can I receive but not send?
Thanks for any help to solve this problem,
Evelien
I have a year's worth of emails that have disappeared from my Windows Live Mail website but show up in Outlook. Everything before a certain date is there and everything after a certain date is there. It is just that gap of approximately a year. They
were not deleted accidentally or deliberately. I have already done the repair option. How do I retrieve these emails and what caused the problem?
I have a paid Hotmail subscription, which I have used on my iPhone for 3 years with no problem, including while traveling all over the world. Since September, I have had problems SENDING e-mail from my iPhone whenever I am traveling away from my home-base
in CT (where Hotmail continues to work fine on my phone). I have traveled to NY, Kentucky, and Washington state, and in all 3 locations I have been able to receive my Hotmail on my phone with no problem, but when I tried to send Hotmail from my phone, I frequently
received an error message that my "smtp password" was incorrect. However, the password WAS correct, because the e-mails would sit in my outbox for a couple of hours or for a day, and eventually they would be sent, even while I was still in the same city where
I had previously been unable to send mail. The Apple store says it's not an Apple problem; it's a Hotmail problem. Then, after an hour trying to reach someone by phone, a Microsoft tech support person told me it's probably a problem with my phone provider's
roaming service. BUT, on all occasions, when traveling with my husband, who has the same iPhone that I have and who has the same AT&T mobile account that I have, he could stand right next to me and successfully send e-mail from his phone, while I could not.
When I told this to the Microsoft tech support person, he said there must be something different about the way my husband's phone is set up vs. mine, but Apple refuses to help (they say they do not "support" Hotmail), and the Microsoft tech support guy also
refused to help, saying he does not support Hotmail. He told me to post my problem here. Help!

I can get to the sign in page in a few round about ways, but cannot get past the sign in page to actually get my email. I have changed the password. I first noticed this last night around 6pm and it is 11:33AM the next day now. The message says
"Safari
cannot open the pagehttps://snt147.mail.live.com/default.aspx?.. because the server where this page is located isn't responding"
