Same problem for me, started about 2 weeks ago. I can paste into Word docs, just not into email. When I try to paste, Edit flashes as if it is happening, but the url does not appear. I can also copy and paste within the email, just not urls. All my programs are updated. I'm on a Macbook Pro running OS X El Capitan 10.11.5.

Hi All,

PROBLEM:  I am having trouble getting the Forward My Calls to: and Simultaneously Ring: to work in Lync for Mac 2011.

ISSUE:  When I select the radial button in the Preferences under Phone calls it appears on for a split second and then defaults to Turn off  call forwarding immediately.  Blink of an eye.  I then tried a workaround to simultaneously ring that phone and unlike the Forward my calls the Simultaneously ring radio button does "stick".  Issue is that it isn't functioning.  I test the function and it doesn't forward calls after 5 seconds as I selected.  I have tried it multiple times.

QUESTION:  Has anyone experienced this and have a solution?

Thanks Much.

PS: Im on a iMac 2013, OS X ElCapitan most recent version.  Using Office 365 Home for Outlook mail and Lync for Mac:2011 for messaging.

I recently switched from Entourage 2007 to Outlook 2011, on El Capitan.

Many emails that were imported are not displaying the sent date in the Main Window. They contain the correct date in the email header when I open the email, but they have a blank in the "Date Received" column.

The common element is that they are all my sent emails, but not all of them. Just ones from a period from about 2006-present.

If I export them to an .mbox format and reimport them, the current date and time shows up, even though the header shows the correct date in the past.

How can I get the date that is in the message (in the header) to display as the "date Received"?

Recently, I have been having issues with pasting URLs into an Outlook email.  I cannot paste the full URL, but I can paste a portion of it.  Yesterday I copied the URL minus the www. and was able to paste, but of course it didn't hyperlink.  Can anyone tell me what is going on?

I'm using a MacBook Pro, and Outlook for Mac 2011 version 14.6.4

My outlook for Mac no longer authenticates. Yesterday it was working fine. Today it is not. I have verified my account settings by logging in through the browser.

The error I get follows:

Any ideas why?

Thanks!

Jitmon,

Thank you for your reply.

Since my previous post I have called the Surface Help Desk.  I got no more help than from the previous desks.  Two more hours watching the agent experiment got no where.

Jitmon suggests I change the zoom setting for email reply.  I have already done that and for new email.  That does not affect zoom setting or bad formatted display in the reading window and it still results in bad formatting for the inbox mail included in a reply.  It is better in the reply window because it is not too small, but some text is giant size and pictures are sometimes much bigger than the screen.

I am using MS Outlook 2007.  Jitmon is using Office 2016.  There are probably some differences.

I am back to: Outlook 2007 works great with MS Windows 7 on a Dell laptop.  It work poorly with Windows 10 on a MS Surface Book.

I'm using a MacBook Pro and using Outlook for email.  I am unable to paste text or URLs into emails.  I can paste text and URLs into a Word doc then copy/paste from there into the email, but that's a few extra steps.  How can I fix this problem?  I am using El Capitan 10.11.5 and Outlook for Mac 2011 ver 14.6.4

Hello

I'm struggling to backup/export my 2011 MS Outlook; I've tried 3 times today and it's crashed about 5mins into the process

Nothing has changed as far as I'm aware; I did my monthly backup in May and it was fine, but this time around it just doesn't want to run through properly!

About a week ago attachments started changing into text files when a rule moved the emails into specific folders. This is an office 365 account.

Hi there

I'm running Outlook for Mac 2011 which I love though I have found that when my emails return to me from clients, rich text looks weird especially when the client is using Hotmail. All the links within my email signature seem to have been converted to html which it looks so unprofessional. Am I doing something wrong here? It's really important that my emails look professional and consistent with the type of clients that I am dealing with. I look forward to hearing from someone if they think they can help. Thanks so much in advance!

Kind regards
