Hello everyone,

I have ran into a situation with a user where I had to create a whole new Microsoft Identity. After this, when he searches for an old email in Spotlight, I run into the error "outlook cannot open this file because it is not associated with the default identity."  I have tried all of the steps in this article I have tried excluding the other identities from the spot light search and even deleting them and despite this he is still getting the same error message.  Any suggestions?

I am trying to migrate POP emails to my IMAP Gmail in Outlook 2011. I have created the folders (labels) in Gmail, and then am trying to drag and drop the emails into the folders once they have propagated to Outlook. This worked brilliantly for the first 5 emails I dragged and dropped, and I was able to see them in my Gmail browser. HOWEVER - subsequent emails that I dragged and dropped successfully copy to the appropriate folder in Outlook, but they do not propagate to the Gmail folders on my Gmail account as viewed through the browser.

Outlook is seeing them in the Outlook folder, but it doesn't actually sync the folder, even though its says 'Folder up to date'. Somehow it is seeing it that these emails are in the folder and unsynced, but when I try to sync it goes very quickly to 'Folder up to date' rather than doing the syncing process bar, where you can see that the emails are indeed syncing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I really need to preserve these emails for access on multiple Outlook systems.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

How do you connect as delegate?

Best regards

Hi,

Can you please show/tell me how can I save my emails to my hard drive of my Mac Book Pro?

I have Office Mac 2011 Family Pak (3 licenses).  It is already installed on an iMan desktop.  It was also installed on an Airbook laptop.  I recently replaced the hard disk on the laptop and did a recovery from my Apple Time Machine.  Office did not work after recovery and was asking for a product key before I could use word, excel, etc.

I found my old install CD (with product key sticker).  I entered the product key and it was accepted.  Office is now working on the laptop.

I am curious / worried that I may have "used up" my third license on this new hard disk.  Is there way way I can "deactivate" the old / second license from my dead hard drive?  I would like to have one more license - in case I buy a third mac/ laptop.

I was sent a group email back in July. I replied then but apparently my email replies the same message to the same group...daily! Sometimes several times a day!

What can I do now that everyone in the group email is so annoyed with my daily message. lol!

Please Help!

Thanks!

The attachments window on one of our Macs is missing several columns, most notably, "Date Modified". There does not seem to be a way to add columns to the window view. Also, when setting the sort type to "Date Modified", nothing happens.

Anybody have an idea. The user would rather that I did not re-install Outlook.

Hi,

I'm using Outlook 2011 for Mac and I made an HTML email signature. When I put it in my Outlook it looks fine like this:

BUT when my boss copy + pastes it in his Outlook it looks like this:

There's an unwanted space between the logo and the text. I don't know what's wrong because it looks fine on my side.

Also, when I reply to an email the images in the signature are not showing? I can't find a tutorial for Mac on how to fix this... Please help and thank you in advance.

When I upgraded my iMac desktop to El Capitan, I lost two useful functions in Microsoft 2011 for MAC.  First, I am unable to directly drag-and-drop attachments to e-mail directly into folders by hovering over the Safari icon. Instead, I have to open the folder hierarchy in Safari, find an appropriate folder, go back into Outlook and bring over the attachment. Alternatively, I can open up the attachment while in Outlook and do a "save-as" operation. Both approaches are far less convenient than the drag-and-drop feature. Second, I have lost the ability to search through my contacts in Outlook based on a particular field such as "first name" or "last name".  Searching for an e-mail also seems to be a problem. Since I only installed El Capitan a week ago, I am wondering what other incompatibility surprises await me. Any help would be appreciated.
