I had Microsoft Office installed on my Macbook Pro a few months, primarily to use Outlook, as it's my company email system.
I can open Outlook, though a pop up always tells me my connection isn't secure. In the past couple of weeks when trying to send, reply or forward an email, Outlook just freezes, so I have to force quit and try again. Sometimes it will work, other times it will freeze.
I have tried opening Outlook before any other systems I am using such as Safari, Skype etc, I have tried opening Outlook after opening the other systems. Either way makes no difference. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It's very frustrating, as I never know when logging into Outlook whether I will be able to send emails or not.
The fact that it works sometimes, and not others, seems to me to be some sort of connectivity issue, so any help would be appreciated. Otherwise I will ditch Outlook, and switch back to Gmail which worked fine.
I am using Outlook for Mac ver 14.5.6 on my late 2011 MacBook Pro. I have several email accounts which i open in Outlook. Every time I select a different account, the reading pane disappears. I select "bottom" again and continue reading and replying to my mail. If I change mail accounts, the reading pane disappears, and I have to select "bottom" again for that account. If I return to an earlier account, the reading pane is gone again.
I've opened "Organize", then " Reading ", then selected "bottom" in the toolbar, but that has no effect. This is a relatively recent occurrence. It seems like I no sooner get one issue addressed, then another pops up!
Does anyone have any suggestions or work-arounds?
Thank you,
Pat
I am a current Outlook 2011 user on my Air with no major issues.
However, I could not start Outlook with any error message showing. By double-clicking Outlook icon, Outlook 2011 message comes in for a second, and there is no action after that.
Please help me on this, if you know how to fix my outlook.
Thanks in advance.
