After what seems like a decade of relatively trouble free email, I have grown weary of being asked for extra security details.
I will never give in to Microsofts demand for an extra email address, or a personal telephone number, so I have moved to a new email provider.
I am ready to confirm the closure of my old account and have tried repeatedly to do so, but I keep getting the error message -
"We can't show you that page. Our server is having a problem. We're working to fix it as soon as we can, so try again in a few minutes."

I have no billing set up and only ever used the hotmail facility.
I have my old email address and its unique ID number ready to give you.
Please can you assist and close my account.
