This is on a rebuilt machine with a fresh install of Messenger. This issue seems to persist through different operating systems and chat clients (ie. pidgin, android, mobile messenger app).
Thoughts?
I created a new live account two days ago. I am able to log in and receive invitations from other users, which I accept. They appear online, but I am unable to message them; once I've signed out and back in they appear offline. Contacts do not appear
online; I have not converted this account to outlook.com.
