However, I've just noticed that the account is now sending email as an alias on behalf of my email address. i.e. from: *** Email address is removed for privacy ***; on behalf of; George Fradley <*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>
This is new behaviour which has started in the last few days - an email I sent at the end of last week is correct. This behaviour is exhibited using my Android mobile and using www.outlook.com web based email. I have also just noticed that an alias exists
in my Outlook.com account - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. When I try to delete it I get a message "Before you can remove this alias, choose another one to be your primary alias."
However when I use Outlook desktop to send email from this account (using Hotmail connector for Outlook), the behaviour is slightly different again. In this case the email appears to have been sent from my primary email account which is a MSExchange account
unrelated to the *** Email address is removed for privacy *** email address - although it has the signature of the georgefradley.co.uk email account. The Hotmail settings are correct.
I could recreate the Hotmail Connector account in Outlook but these two issues seem to be related - since they've both just started to happen.
Any thoughts? Is this a known change in function for custom domains in Outlook.com?
Hope this all makes sense.
Thanks,
George
