Date format: Change day/month to month/day?

My birthday notifications are "backwards", so, for example I today (November 9, or 11/9) received a notification for a birthday that is actually on September 11 (or 9/11).

There must be a setting - somewhere - in Outlook to change this, but I can't find it.  Can anyone please help?
