I have the following setup:
ISP: Verizon
Email Provider: GoDaddy
Outlook 2011, version 14.3.7
My email was working fine last week. This week, I have been having problems sending emails and it has been getting worse and worse each day. Any time I try to send an email, it gets stuck in my Outbox. I get the following Error:
Outlook cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct.
Below that, under the Details Tab, it says
Mail could not be sent.
Account Name: "my account name"
Error Code: -3176
I contacted Verizon, who verified my connection was fine. I contacted GoDaddy who confirmed my settings were proper and that I can send email using their account if I log in to my webmail.
Sometimes the emails will finally just be released from the outbox. Sometimes I have to hit "Send/Receive All" about 40 times. Other times, it has helped to close out of Outlook and start it again. I have rebooted my computer a number of times, but that
does not seem to help. Does anybody have any suggestions?
