I have been trying for days to move my WLM storage folders and their email contents to Outlook 2016. I have hundreds of stored folders, subfolders and sub-subfolders.
There appear to be two distinct problems:
1) If I try to export more than one level of folders at a time (for example a folder and one or more of it's subfolders) I get a message that I don't have enough disk space or the emails are corrupted. Neither of these are true - I have plenty of disk space (yes, I did run Disk Cleanup too) and the emails are not corrupted.
2) I can export either a single folder, or several folders which are on the same level. The exporting process appears to be working fine: I can see the correct number of emails being processed and then I'm told that the export was successful. These new folders appear in Outlook 2016 however they are completely empty. I haven't yet been able to move a single stored email.
I have four emails accounts in Outlook 2016 which are set up fine and the online emails are all in place. I am currently using Windows 7. This is the process I've been trying to follow: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Import-email-messages-from-Windows-Live-Mail-B7775E37-F072-4AF0-AF22-F03841A150AD. I recently installed the 32-bit version of Office 2016. I did a repair on Windows Essentials but it didn't make any difference.
