I have 3 hotmail/outlook accounts. Lately I keep getting warnings that I need new security codes.  Today I tried to do as instructed, and it told me that it would mail my security code to one of the other addresses I use.  It said that once I retrieve it there, I should then place it in the box provided in the account  I was logged into when it instructed me to do this.  I cannot do that, as if I try to access another of my hotmail accounts when logged on to one, it will only take me to the same address unless I log off first.  This has never bothered me, but since I could not leave that box open I went ahead and logged off, then went to the address they claimed to have just sent this code to.  I then found that I could not get to my mail, as instead it took me straight to the page that began these problems...the one that says "Since you're trying to access sensitive info, you need to use a security code to verify your account. How would you like to receive your code?  I cannot receive the code if I cannot access my mail!
I then went to look on line for some kind of hotmail support and the first thing I found claimed to be a live support team one can call on the phone.  When someone answered he asked my name, date of birth, and whether or not I used my emails for business or personal use.  He also asked if I were on a mobile device or a regular computer.  He then told me I needed to go to Google and type in logmein123, which I did.  Then I got a screen that came up when I clicked on that site   https://secure.logmeinrescue.com/customer/code.aspx and he gave me a code to type in to access it.  I was starting to get very uneasy that he needed so much personal info. as he had a thick indian accent and I have heard of telephone scams where people call YOU from overseas and try to access information to steal identities.  Just after I typed in this code it appeared to activate something, so I asked what he was going to do now, and he informed me that this site gave him direct access to my computer,   That is when I panicked and told him that I was not comfortable with this at all and hung up, immediately logging off of my computer.  I logged back in soon after, and found this place.  Some of what I have read since indicates this was legitimate, some claim it is a scam, but I am very concerned now that I may have unleashed some kind of virus or worse!

I managed to get back into one of my accounts and immediately changed my password, but I have serious doubts I will be able to access the other two.  Please help!
