I am using windows 7 moved from verizon to cox internet called cox was transferred to Microsoft tech and was told no support on phone for windows live email so looked at this forum.
I see I have the same problem as others.  have tried all the suggestions from other posts and at the microsoft help links that were provided by cox and from other posts here. all other accounts work fine in windows live and I can use cox web mail

some of the error messages:

Unable to send or receive messages for the Cox  account. An incorrect password was entered. The next time you send or receive messages, you'll be asked to enter your user name and password for this account.

Server Response: -ERR invalid user name or password.

The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's email address. The sender's email address was '*** Email address is removed for privacy ***'.
