How do I access my original hotmail account!

When I try to access www.hotmail.com it gives me the login for outlook and says 'enter your microsoft account password'

I enter my hotmail username and password and it says

'That password is incorrect. Be sure you're using the password for your Microsoft account.'

I dont have a microsoft account. I have a HOTMAIL ACCOUNT which Ive had since 1997 (before microsoft owned it)

I just NEED to login to my hotmail

I set up a microsoft account and now it just takes me to that without allowing me any way of seeing my original hotmail account.

I JUST NEED TO GET INTO MY HOTMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!
