How do I copy and past from Microsoft word into Mac Mail? It seems to change the format. I have tried copying and then Paste and match style but this doesn’t work either

How do I copy and past from Microsoft word into Mac Mail?  It seems to change the format.  I have tried copying and then Paste and match style but this doesn't work either
