I am unable to get any emails on my outlook (hotmail.com) account. I logged on from different computers, etc, and still no emails. I spoke with Microsoft customer support and they indicated it was because they were having server issues & maintenance since 8/13 on Hotmail (outlook.com) and customers are having various issues and others are not. Sounded like a convenient excuse with no attempt resolving this
I had gotten the email below and the account was actually shut down last week while they provisioned additional storage
and everything was working fine until this past Wed 8/21. I sent an online tech support request and got a support request tracking (ticket) # too.
It looks like your account is growing really fast.

- Make the rules work for you. You can set up your Outlook.com account to automatically delete unwanted email. Click Options, click More Options, and then click Rules for Sorting New Messages.
- Unsubscribe or mark unwanted mail as Junk. You can find Unsubscribe links within some of the Newsletters you receive. If you can't find them, mark the mail as Junk and Outlook.com will begin filtering such mails to the Junk Folder.
