One of my hotmail/outlook accounts has been hacked (not the one I used to sign in to post this) .
When I sign in I get the message "It looks like someone else might be using your account".
Now looking through all the similar threads I have already done the following.
1) I have used my security question to change the password several times now.
2) I filled out the the account verification form a few times but it has been rejected. I ran out of attempts so I am waiting to try again after the 24 hrs have passed.
A question re filling out this form. Do the passwords that I have used the security question to reset to count towards the previous passwords used on the account? I don't want to be rejected because I am including these.
Secondly, although the form asks for the subject of recent messages and recipients I want to make it clear that I have not used the account to send any messages in a long time now. So I best not be rejected for leaving these boxes blank.
Above all what I want to know is that is whether this "someone else" still able to use MY account while I am having to go through all of this. If yes then I them to be IMMEDIATELY BLOCKED from the account like I am and have to go through the same process.
If the hacker is still logged into my account I must say this is quite ridiculous.
I would appreciate a response as quick as possible. Thank you.
