Hi,

I have 3 accounts configured to use IMAP with SSL. I also have a bunch of accounts configured to use POP.

When my Mac wakes up in the morning or after lunch, I almost always get the Logon failure for all three of the IMAP accounts. Three alerts in a row say this:
The server for account <name> returned the error "Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"

I click "No" on the three 'Logon failure' alerts (because my password is already correct). All my POP mail is read, and I usually have to force my IMAP accounts to synchronize. This is inconvenient, but it seems to work.

I have confirmed my IMAP/SSL server and ports are correct with my ISP.
For the incoming server, I have 'Use SSL' checked with default port 993. 'Always use secure password' is not checked.
For the outgoing server, I have 'Use SSL' checked with non-default port 465.

Does anyone know how I can avoid this, or what the problem might be? I suspect that Outlook is trying to connect before my network connection is active (claiming that it's an authentication problem) because this only happens immediately after my Mac wakes up from sleeping.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 14.3.8 (Mac 2011) on Mac OS X 10.9.

Thanks,
Chuck
