Accidentally, I have created two Microsoft accounts. The first is linked to my university Office 365 email. The second I created with my gmail when I signed up for an Xbox Live account.
I prefer the gmail MS account, because the inbox and calendar are clean and well-organized. I do not like my MS account that is linked to my university Office 365 email, because the Office 365 inbox and calendar are messy and cluttered, and I can't get
into Outlook.com. Instead of being able to use that inbox, I get the error message "You're currently signed in with an Office 365 email account, which can't be used with Outlook.com. Please click here to sign out of your Office 365 account, then use another
Microsoft account to sign in to Outlook.com (for example, your hotmail.com, live.com, or msn.com account)". However, my university email has many important emails in it, and it's linked to all the documents in my Skydrive.
So, I have two questions about this:
- I would like to delete the MS account linked to my university email, and forward all emails going into here into my gmail MS account. But, if I delete my university MS account, will this delete my entire inbox? Won't I be able to access this inbox via the Office 365 log-in page, even if I delete the university MS account?
- How can I transfer my SkyDrive information from my university account to my gmail MS account? It appears that I can switch my Xbox information from one MS account to another with ease, but can I do this with my Skydrive information?
