Hello, hello,

My computer modem is working.  As is my router.  I have both a wifi and a cable connection.  So I have a connection, but I am not able to get an internet connection.  Without an internet connection I cannot run MS's Security Essentials updates.  I believe a virus is preventing me from getting an internet connection.  Can anyone help with specific steps?   Thank you.
