Exchange 2010 environment. Client's Outlook connected to Exchange account. OSX 10.7.5. When the client clicks on Unified inbox the Outlook status bar shows that it is connected to "User" instead of connected to Exchange. That user is the first shared
calendar on the list of shared calendars that the client is attached to. If I remove that users calandar then the status shows connected to the next user that matches the next calendar on the list. This is a recent change in behavior with Outlook.
If I turn off Unified inbox the Status Bar shows the correctly the connection to Exchange.
If that were the only problem then I'd think there was a bug in the status display. However, On occasion, Email will not send an email with a message that you can't send because you aren't authorized to send from that account. It is as if Outlook is trying
to send through the attached calendar user's account for which they are not authorized to do. If the client reopens the message and sends again then the messages will send. With the unified inbox turned off the problem appears to go away however, only time
will tell for sure.
Clues to what is going on here and how to fix? The client would prefer to use the unified inbox.
