Original Title: Outlook.com not syncing with outlook app/Windows Phone
I recently purchased an Acer Aspire R7 convertible laptop. It is running windows 8.
I have had a MS account with a gmail email address as my username. I added an alias *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, and removed all of the gmail associations, both within my MS Live account, and my email accounts. After doing this, I can not receive or send any emails to/from my outlook.com account, my mail app on Windows 8, or my Windows 8 smartphone. I tried to manually sync my mail in the mail app by pressing the sync button, but I get a message in the top right hand side of the window that says *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is unavailable.
I thought maybe it was just a problem with the email address, so I added an alias - *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. Still the same issue, with one exception. Now when I try to log onto outlook.com, it now says "We're updating your inbox". I thought maybe it just needs some time, so I waited to check on it until this morning. I still can not send or receive emails to either of my outlook accounts. Additionally, my outlook accounts will not sync to my Lumia 1020.
I tried sending a test email to my outlook.com address from my gmail address, and it was sent back to me. The message that was sent back read:
