Attempting to delete emails & Outlook repeatedly hangs, with this Error:
"There was a problem with the Outlook service (a temporary network connectivity issue that has nothing to do with your computer). Please try again.  If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check if there's a problem with Outlook."

I did check Service status, which - bizarrely - consistently reports NO problem with Outlook service!?! (of course M$ provides no straightforward way to get back to Outlook from this Service status page.  Arggggh!)

3 Questions:

1) Precisely what is the "problem with the Outlook service" that Service status apparently cannot perceive/accurately report on?

3) What is the "fix" for those of us who would like to use Outlook as intended (not stopping every 3 - 4 minutes to [attempt to] clear a hung "service")?

4) What is the recommended [quickest/least onerous] procedure for clearing this issue when Outlook repeatedly "hangs" like this?

Appreciate any [helpful] insights/suggestions!

BTW .... is it just me, or are others also delighted/entertained [not] by menu selections - mandated in order to Submit questions - all of which are totally irrelevant to the issue?**      At the risk of repeating myself ... Arggggh!

** My issue:  Outlook hangs when deleting emails
** My "Email Topic" drop-down menu options:
1)  Sending and Receiving Mail
2)  Reading, Writing and Formatting
3)  Lost or Deleted Mail

You tell me which of these is actually relevant ....
