Hey all.

Recently I found out that some feed messages in my Windows Live Mail is disappearing. Just to clarify, this is happening only with feed messages. The e-mail messages are all working fine.

I'm aware of the 'Keep just the most recente items' option in the RSS feed config, I've double checked and it's setup as 'Keep all items'

The problem is not constant and I didn't find a pattern that I could describle, but I saw this happening three to four times this week.

I'm not sure about this, but I think this may have nothing to do with WLM itself, but with Internet Explorer. Because It looks like the feed messages disappear when I ask to update the feeds. However, I also saw the feeds going away sometime after a search I did.

I've checked the article of the feeds and they're still online.

Somebody help me.

Hi. Is there a way to backup/restore, import/export the feed messages from one instalation/computer to another?

Just to make clear, I'm not talking about the list of RSS feeds you sign, but the messages you receive from these feeds. I have trousands of feeds currently stored in my Windows Live, and I'm lokking for a way to proper backup them.

I have been looking for some ways of backup them throught the internet, but none of them seems satisfied. This is because of the fact that the backup method cited from the 'Export' option in the Windows Live menu actually doesn't keep the feed messages just like the originals - this process changes the feeds messages into normal e-mail like messages, and some links are lost. Also, when you restore these messages, the system doesnt restore it on the Feed window, but import them into the E-mail window.

This is because the Export option actually changes the feeds message files from it's original .RSS files to .EML files in Windows explorer.

So, I'm looking for a proper way to easily backup my feed messages.

How do I stop WLM feeds from being received?

Please tell me how to unsubscribe from feeds in Windows Live Mail (using Windows 7). The only on-line answer I could find was no help (i.e. go to email inbox and find RSS feeds - I couldn't find it). Help, I never intentionally asked for these feeds and they are using up all my data allowance.

I recently reinstalled Windows Vista with the recovery disks. It's all up to date (SP2 for an example) and has IE9 (also I use Google Chrome) along with Windows Live Mail. I also added another GB of memory (it now has a total of 2GB) and cleaned out the heat exchanger and it now runs better than ever.

However, after all this I subscribed to a RSS feed in IE9 that I like and would like to see it in Windows Live Mail but for some reason it's says "There are no items to view". I've deleted the MSN feeds in IE so they're no longer anywhere. Oddly I can see my feeds in Windows Side Bar just fine, but not in Windows Live Mail. I've tried syncing all feeds but it does nothing. What could be wrong?

Using WLM I have MSNBC news as an RSS feed.
I get a lot of news posts in categories I do not want filling up the inbox.

They all carry headers that include the category urls like Sports, Lifestyle News etc
e.g. X-MS-ItemUrl: http://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/

Can these posts be filtered by category?

I just recently upgraded to a new computer and installed Windows Live Mail, just what I had been using in my old computer. I have about 70 to 80 RSS feeds that I subscribe to and imported them into my new computer.

When I went to see any new feeds after adding my imported feeds for the first time, the list it shows is only the ones that it just downloaded, not the complete list from when I first signed up for the feeds about a year or two ago. So if I want to reference an old feed or search the content to find a feed post, I only have about 5 to 20 feeds now under this particular feed to search and can't find the one I want.

My question is: Is there any way to sync my feeds and get older feeds from the site? How can I get back the ones that I have been reading since I joined the feed list? Is this possible?

Every time I get on my email it says, Initialization of RSS feed support failed. RSS feeds could not be updated.? It has done this every since I switched virus protection.
