Hi there,
I send out weekly mass emails for my job at a university to about 900-1000 students, faculty and staff (bcc'ed) through Outlook for Mac 2011 on an exchange server. Some of the recipients are on the same exchange server that I am on and I know they receive my
messages, but I want to ensure that other recipients (who might use gmail or hotmail, etc.) are receiving my messages and that they aren't going to their junk mail folders. Some people have suggested that I send my emails out in batches of 100 at a time, to
ensure they aren't triggering spam filters.
Is this necessary, or does the amount of recipients not matter for triggering spam filters (but rather that it's the content that is most important for avoiding people's junk mail folders)? And, if I should be sending my emails out in batches, how many recipients
should I send to at a time?
I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere, so input from a Microsoft engineer would be great.
Thanks,
Pam
