Furthermore, Skydrive will not show up on my system tray. When it does though, it removes itself once I scroll over it.

I use Skydrive to upload files from my Windows Phone, Surface and Windows 8 Desktop PC. Recently, my files from my desktop will not upload to Skydrive, but the files from my phone and Surface upload fine. When I place a file in the Skydrive folder it will
automatically sync, however the new file never appears on the online client or on my other devices.
