Hotmail contacts entries have a place for street addresses. I can't find that in Windows Live Mail. Should I keep looking, or will I have to change to a different address book if I want street mailing addresses?
I just want to send this out there while it's fresh in my mind in case it can help anyone else. I'm in OS 10.6.8. Like so many others, I've had nothing but trouble with Outlook 2011, including not being able to sync contacts, calendars, etc, OR syncs that
scaterred the data so wild and crazy as to be useless, forced to restore to pre-sync.
Following various how-tos at more than one Mac or Office forum, still unable to sync. Tried various import/export scenarios--file types just not swappable. Dumped Application Support Sync and Microsoft files as directed, which after Restart did fill in
the totally blank Sync Services pref in Outlook, but setting contacts to sync w Add Book still didn't work. In other threads tried various Sync Services instructions, finally resetting at the Terminal level. All no-go. It's now four hours later...
In desperation I again exported contacts from Outlook, choosing the .txt format (tab-delimited text file). I know Address Book can't read this, so I right-clicked the .txt file to Open with..Excel. When the Excel doc opened I clearly saw a few anomalies,
but mostly it looked more or less correct--Last Names in Last Name column, etc. From inside Excel, I used Save As... and chose as the format type: Windows Comma Separated (.csv), which created a second file as the csv file type I know Address Book can read. Then I imported from Address Book.
And it worked. I will have to do some manual cleanup--deleting some totally blank cards and fixing some cards where data found its way to a wrong field, but it's far better than reentering hundreds of contacts one by one.
Before doing this I backed up my Library>Application Support>Microsoft and SyncServices files and Documents>Microsft User Files, which I'd advise anybody do when troubleshooting anything.
Hope this might help somebody.
I can't seem to find a button for address book. I wish to up-date an address and I can't seem to find the way to do this.
Please help. Thank you.
Lately, my hotmail shows upcoming birthdays of people in my address book. How can I turn this feature off?
I neeed help with saving e-mail addresses to Outlook?
I have added a contact person in my address book yesterday but I went back in there today to try and put there email address in but there is not a place for it to go and if so where is it, cause I can't find it?
I have an iMac 27” running Snow Leopard with MSOffice for Mac 2011 installed.
I have been able to automatically sync Outlook Calendar with iCal and Contacts with Address Book and Notes via Mail. This has enabled me to sync this data with my iPhone and iPad using iTunes.
My hard disc was starting to cause problems and has just been replaced under the Apple replacement programme. My backup using Time Machine worked brilliantly in restoring all my applications and data.
However, when I now try, within Outlook, to turn on the Sync Services the dialogue box comes up empty so I cannot restore the sync between Outlook and the Mac Applications.
Does anybody have any ideas please.
I am using English exchange to connect to a korean exchange server. When I get an email the from and to fields show as korean. I have tried adding them to my local address book to see if I can force it to show english but that does not work. Is there
a setting somewhere I am missing that will force this to happen?
IT does not appear to be exchange. If I get an email using apple mail or mailmate it shows as korean unless they are in my address book. Outlook doesnt appear to do this.

Hello,
I am trying to access my address book in Hotmail, not my contact list. The contact list is certainly missing people. When I start typing the address in the TO line, I will get a list of possibilities (the Auto Complete functionality kicks in) and can select
that way, which reflects more my address book entries than what my contact list has. Appreciate any help someone can provide.
Thank you,
Corazon
