I am a 66 yr old guy and I cannot figure out why this was done or how to get my hotmail back

heck I cannot find my address book or find where to forward e-mail

thanks

Tim

Have a problem where I think my account may have hacked. I seem to be sending messages to all in my address book and many are not being delivered. I have now changed my password. The real problem is the auto vacation setting is set to send a message out (not written by me) and I can't turn it off. I delete the message, click the radio button to not send a message but when I go back to my inbox the warning is still there that this feature is on.

I have tried many times to no avail. I use McAffe anti-virus and did a scan yesterday which only showed 37 cookies.

Can some one suggest anything?

Can create a new group folder in my contact list but it does not appear in my address book. How can I get it in my address book?
(Most of the answers I am finding are old, so am asking the question again as I expect there have been changes since Office 2011 came out.) I want to sync my MS 2011 calendar, contacts and mail to my iPad and iPad from my iMac running Lion. Can someone direct me to the answer? Thank you so much. (Am migrating *back* to 2011 from Address Book, Mail & iCal -- just does not seem to work as well for me. One of the main reasons -- I use my contacts a lot and Address Book does not deal with categories very well. Very tedious process to add a contact and put them in categories and you cannot see what category some are in or if they were even added to a category.) Thanks again for the answer. (Would go through Google but *just yesterday* they discontinued calendar syncing -- if you already have it downloaded fine and they will continue to support, if not, tough. I missed it by one day!)

I  do not have an Address Book any longer, however when I start to put in a name in the TO some pop up. How can I access the address book for updating adding and deleting

new to outlook & macs - double whammy - and I already hate them both. one of the biggest pia's is this annoying property of bringing up all e-mail address that I HAVE REPLIED TO when I'm trying to address an e-mail. I can delete the ones with the x beside them, but many say 'work' and I cannot delete them. Most of these are not in my address book, and I can't find anywhere to change this annoying habit. Several of the searches seem to reflect a number of other people with this same request, but no one seems to have a solution.
And - FWIW - how ballsy is it of MS to make us fix their mistakes?
Thanks -
I agree with others that managing Contacts is very poor in Microsoft products.
An address book is one of the most important elements yet should be the simplest to manage.
I have ended up with duplicates, triplicates etc and retrieved email addresses and the "3 at a time" merging is a nightmare.

I exported contacts as a csv to Excel and with a few formulae combined or deleted them quickly and easily.

Now, can I empty my Contacts and import this CSV?
I cannot see where to delete all contacts. There must be a way to do this surely?!

Anyone any ideas?
Cheers

I have been using outlook for almost 20 years, but I am about to give up on it.  When I switched to Mac in 2010, I loved the ease of use of the MAC OS compared to the perpetually bugged MS Windows OS.

I found a few things though.   While Office 2008 for Mac was prettty good, the Entourage email app was pretty poor not allowing HTML formatted email.  This is not a major problem except when trying to forward HTML emails as they would appear all scrambles.  As imperfect as Entourage was in email, the calendar and contacts feature were solid and syncing with iCal and Mac address book was ROCK solid.

I upgraded (now it feels like a downgrade) to Outlook 2011.  There is no question that the other apps (word, excel, powerpoint) are better than the 2008 Office, but Outlook 2011 is HORRIBLE due to problems syncing with iCal and address book.

I was able to sync with iCal and Address book for a while, but eventually the sync services stopped syncing appointments.  After hours and hours of research, I found that I could deactivate MS Sync Services in Outlook preferences, in the Library > Preferences folder I deleted the file named: com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences/plist file and reset sync history in iSync.

I then turn on sync services but I found that every time I did this I got duplication of any calendar event that was an "all day" event.  The only way to do this would be to delete all my calendars in iCal before starting to sync again to replace all the data in iCal.  The other bigger problem is that after a while, the syncing would again stop working.

Sure I could reset everything again, but the effort to go through this process over and over 1-3 times per day makes this process unworkable for me.  I have worked on this problem too long.   The bottom line is that MS Outlook 2011 Sync Services DO NOT WORK RELIABLY!!!

After almost 20 years, I must now say goodbye to Outlook. Without a reliable sync to iCal ( and then to my iPhone) Outlook calendar and address book are useless to me.  Sad day, but if anyone can help me fix this problem, I will happily stay with Outlook as the calendar is much better than iCal, but without rock solid syncing, it is useless.

I want to bring my entire address book, saved emails sorted into folders and calendar with recurring events. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Tried Windows Easy Transfer but that did not bring over my email stuff. Current system is an XP if that makes any difference.
Following a cleanup using the M/S programes I lost the ability to reply to or send emails to people in my address book from my windows Live mail . I click on the contact and all that comes up in the address line of my message is the contacts name instead of their email address. If I go into my hotmail account via Google there is no problem. Please help me!
