When importing from Outlook 2007 to 2011 (mac) adress field is empty

I have upgraded PC Outlook from 2000 to 2007 in order to export to 2011 (mac). The upgrade went well and all fields are present.

When I export from 2007 and afterwards import to 2011 the address field has no content except very few instances.

The file has has approx. 2000 posts.

I have tried to export only a few posts, but the result is the same. The adress field has no content except very few.

how do you decrease the size of ‘from’ address field so the subject field is longer?

It is frustrating to say the least.  I don't need to see a full from address.  I want to see the full subject in my inbox.

The only part I can adjust is the left side, where the folders are.   Of course we can't slide over on the right, as far as I can tell - Microsoft doesn't want us to cut out the annoying ads over there.

Address field in Hotmail does not work in IE 8

Automatic address for hotmail.co.uk doesn't work with IE8. When replying to an email, the sender's address doesn't automatically appear.  Further, when starting a new message and typing in the addressee, nothing happens but a rotating green circle of dots appears.  This has only happened in the last month or so.  Have the security settings in IE8 changed?  How can I get back to what it was before?

There is no such problem when using Firefox.

Any helpful suggestions gratefully received.
