I am having the same issue. I have uninstalled and re-installed both SkyDrive and OneNote more than once.  I can access the notebooks from my PC at work, which also has OneNote installed, but not from my android phone.

Previously I was easily able to synch my PC, my laptop and my iPad over my home network. Now I cannot do that either. One day I opened OneNote on my iPad and everything was gone. I thought it might have to do with installing it on my android phone.

I love OneNote and do not want to switch to any of the other programs. I have a lot of information stored there but I need to be able to access it on the go without having to lug my laptop with me.

What can I do?

On 06/08/13 my android Jellybean device informed me it was unable to sign in to live mail, my main email for that device and my phone.
I logged on to my pc and entered the CORRECT password and it told me username and /or password were incorrect. THEY WERE NOT!
I sent for a password reset code which subsequently didn't work, nor did the following 5 reset links which took me to a page saying  " sorry there is a temporary issue with this service".
I am now having problems with my android phone which no longer recognizes any apps connected to this particular email address.
Is there anyone at Microsoft who can actually help, rather than just sign post me to another link????
I am being forced to use a different account to post this due to no access what so ever to my main one.
This "service" is simply no good enough and there is little to no support :(

Any real advice or practical help would be greatly recieved.

I need ONE calendar that is accessible on four PCS and an Android phone (Galaxy S 4), all physically located in different places and different networks but all mine and not shared with anyone else.

  • Google calendar doesn't cut it. Pretty good but insufficient categorization and recurring event capability.  GUI is not very informative.
  • Windows 8 Calendar on Sky Drive doesn't cut it. Very elementary and featureless
  • There is only one calendar that I have found to be acceptable that has all the necessary features. Outlook!  What a concept.

Outlook Calendar in any of the Office suites is wonderful.  Colored categories, excellent recurring event features, the works. However, It is not easy to share it without a special server.

  • I have my main Outlook pst file on my main PC.
  • I have eight POP mail accounts.
  • All accounts are accessed on my main computer.
  • A subset accessed by each of the other computers.
  • Only one computer of the group may delete mail on a single POP account server and no one computer deletes mail on all the servers.
  • Each of the computers have their own pst file.

I have tried making a separate pst as a Master Calendar file and stored it on SkyDrive to be accessed by each of the computers when outlook opens.  It sort of works but does not sync properly.  ("Properly" is defined as syncing the way I want it to")

  1. It seems that each computer makes a separate copy of the master and stores that back on SkyDrive.
  2. I want the SkyDrive copy to stay in sync with any changes made on any of the other computers including Android.
  3. No two devices need to access the file at the same time although it would be nice if they could.
  4. I do not want to have to make an ics copy of the master calendar file.

Come on Microsoft - make this work!  You can generate a set of application requirements from this note.  Just make it work.  You have done it with One Note.  Why not Outlook?

As far as I am concerned, the office apps in the Windows 8 Metro environment are pretty useless, particularly for someone who has been using Office and Outlook for as long as it has been on the market.  Why take a giant step backwards?

How do I sync all the calenders in my live account to my android phone? Is there a good way?
I want to modify Excel files on my Android phone, and upload the changed file back to Skydrive.  I can't seem to find a way to do this.  I can open the file in Kingsoft Office easily enough, either directly from the Skydrive app or after downloading it to the Skydrive folder on my SD card, but I can't get the modified version back up to Skydrive, after trying everything I can think of.  On my Windows PC (with Skydrive application installed) if I modify a file in the Skydrive folder it's automatically synchronised to Skydrive, but on Android it doesn't seem to be.  What can I do to make this happen?

Yesterday, my iPad stopped being able to sync Hotmail.  I am getting: UNABLE TO CONTACT SERVER.  I am able to access in my Android phone, any browser and my Win8 laptop.  I deleted the account and re entered both as Hotmail and Exchange.  In both cases, the verification appeared to succeed, but the mail cannot contact the server and the calendar does not show in my calendars list.  I changed the password, but that didn't help.  Incidentally, my XBOX was not able to connect when I updated the password.  Server problem?

It has worked fine for years but about 3 months ago it stopped working on my phone. It works ok on my lap-top it is just my phone that cannot receive or send on the Live account. I have tried to re-install the Live account on the phone to no avail as it cannot connect to Live.com. HELP-please.
I can access my hotmail account from my laptop, but I can't access it from my Android phone. Until yesterday, I was able to log into the account from the phone, but since yesterday morning I haven't been able to log in. It all started when I noticed that my phone wasn't reporting any new emails. I removed the account and tried to add it again on the phone but it didn't work out. Please help!
