Hello,
I recently got my first Android phone (from an iPhone) a few days ago and I have some issues with adding my Outlook account to the native email app on my Nexus 4. I'm trying to set it up as IMAP, but I can't seem to pass through. I'm trying to stick with
the native app instead of downloading a 3rd party app or the Outlook app for Android.
Here are the details I used:
*** Email address is removed for privacy ***
password
> Manual setup as = IMAP
Incoming settings
username = *** Email address is removed for privacy ***
password = password
IMAP server = imap-mail.outlook.com
Port = 993
Security type = SSL/TLS
Outgoing settings
SMTP server = smtp-mail.outlook.com
Port = 587
Security type = SSL/TLS
Require sign-in = *checked*
When I try to finish the setup, it wouldn't go through so I changed the security type to SMARTTLS for the outgoing settings and it worked, but why isn't it working when it's set to SSL/TLS? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
Hey,
I hope someone can help me with this, as it's driving me crazy!
I'm using Skydrive on my Android tablet. I've been opening the PDFs with either Adobe Reader or iannotate PDF. With either of these apps I can highlight, mark up, etc the PDFs. However, when I close the document and re-open it, my edits have not been saved.
Basically, I've been opening PDFs from the Skydrive Android app, then highlighting them with iannotate. All that works fine. But once I close the PDF, all my highlights disappear. I checked my Skydrive account on my computer, and it's not syncing there either.
How do I make Skydrive save the edits I make to PDFs on my Android tablet?

I'm getting the message from my PC: Sorry, there seems to be a problem with Outlook right now
I updated antispyware and antivirus, ran them, cleared cache, restarted computer and still nothing.
But i can access my outlook email account through my android app but just consultation...i cannot forward anything but at least i can read my emails.
Any idea?
Thank you
Hello,. I am new to Android (been an iPhoner). I now have a new LG G2 with Android. How can I get my Outlook 2010 Calendar, Contacts and Emails (POP3) to sync between my Android phone & my HP Laptop Outlook 2010 & my iPad Calendar, Contacts, Emaill?
Before, everything went to iCloud and it is set up seemlessly for that. Any help is MUCH appreciated. Thank you.
Hi! I recently added Outlook.com for Android app to my Virgin Mobile Android 2.3.7 smart phone. I was able to add the first email account without any problems. However, when I tried to add a second account, it switches to the "Sign In" page and I am forced to enter my Microsoft account and password. It comes back and tells me this account has already been added. Any suggestions?
Whenever emails sent from this account is received via a mobile app whether its outlook for android, android original email app, iphone original email app, it does not show my full name. However when it is viewed via desktop, it does show my full name.
Please advise.
I love IE11 now but I have an Android phone and have been searching and searching for a way to make IE favorites sync seamlessly with Android. Android does not recognize url files natively so there are no straight forward ways of doing this, thus I use
Chrome on all my PCs instead. Since Skydrive in Windows 8.1 syncs IE favorites across all Win8.1 machines, it would be great if that could be opened up to Android devices via the Skydrive app so people like me can use IE. Please? :-)
I HAVE FOLLOWED YOUR SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS, AND ANDROIDS AS WELL, AND KEEP GETTING MESSAGE "THAT PASSWORD IS INCORRECT. BE SURE YOU'RE USING THE PASSWORD FOR YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT." THE PASSWORD IS CORRECT! IT IS SAME ONE I USE ON MY MACBOOK. I HAVE
TRIED EVERYTHING AND GET SAME ANSWER RE PW???? WHAT IS WRONG? I SEE ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AS IT RELATES TO ANDROID. MY PHONE IS AN ANDROID HD, BRAND NEW! HELP!!!

hi there
I have all my contacts stored in Outlook.com. I cannot sync them with my phone Motorola Defy+ rooted and running Android 4.1.2.
I have tried removing my hotmail account and re-adding. All contacts are then resynced fine. However if I make a change on the server, or locally on the phone, then those changes are not synced. I am using the standard Android People app.
Calendar and email is working fine, just contacts.
appreciate any help
thanks
