Hello,
I just set up an Outlook.com and SkyDrive account recently and I've been trying without ANY success to share a folder with some files in it with a friend. Every single time I've tried to send it I get a return delivery delayed error message, usually twice, and then ultimately a failure message with a copy of the e-mail I tried to send.  This is a copy of one of the failure text messages I got with one of the returned e-mails:

Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 5.6.2 Delivery SMTP Error. Command: 3. Response: 535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: authentication failure
. Type=1 (-956218626:896:-2147418113)

In my SkyDrive it says that my folder is indeed shared with the person whom I intended to it it with, but they never received the e-mail with the links to the folder/files.  I tired sending it to two different e-mail addresses for him and both show up in my SkyDrive account under "Shared" but they never got any of the e-mails.  All were returned to me!

Also, he happened to send me an unrelated e-mail and I answered it from Outlook.com and he never received it.  That was returned to me as well.  What the heck is going on?  HELP please?

Thanks.
Maria

(I am running Windows 7 and using Google Chrome.  I have Microsoft Office 2010 Professional installed if any of that matters?)
Hi,

I am using Outlook 2011 for MAC on OSX 10.8.5, connecting to my work email/Office 365.

I have a very weird problem - every time I disconnect from the network and reconnect (through wireless) - My outlook gets disconnected and tried to reconnect (as expected). And in this process it challenges me for the password, but when I enter the password - it report authentication failure.

It doesnt succeed until I restart my outlook. Once I restart the outlook, I get connected successfully.

Again the story repeats. It is clear that there is some issue with Outlook app on my MAC, it will be great if any one can point me to appropriate solution.

Regards,
Murali
I have a MacBook Pro running OS 10.8.4 and Mac Office Outlook 14.3.6.  Today for the first time I have been receiving the following error message when sending emails via msn: "The server does not support secure connections."  I consulted the forms and there it was recommended to disable "Use SSL to connect" for both out-going and in-coming messages.  I first disabled that for out-going messages only and then for both.  Each time the following error message is returned:  "5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: authentication failure".  It then asks whether I want to reenter my password.  I did so the first time to no avail; the same error message was returned.  Please assist.

Thank you,

George
