I have a lot of mwssages in my inbox and would like to be able to glance somewhere to see the exact number regularly. I am sure I could do this with Windows XP and probably am being a bit thick not knowing how to see in Windows Live Mail......
Thanks
Ann
i signed into my hotmail and something stange happened, when i went to complose a new email i noticed my name which appears at the top of the page seemed funny, it now had an @live.com after it, sprawled across two lines, when i clicked on it, i was surprised
to see an OLD yahoo mail account showing below it as an alternative email, i have not linked these two, and when i go to the bit that lets me add other accounts to send and receive email via windows live, it only shows my hotmail account and doesn't say i
have any other accounts added,
whats happening and how doi stop my old email account showing in my windows live account?
i dont want to delete the old yahoo mail account, but don't want them linked, and if they are to be linked i think it should be my choice.
can anyone help?

I upgraded my Windows 7 Pro 64 bit to Windows 8 Pro 64 bit and was not able to access my pop-server. I found the solution was to install Windows Live. It appears the Windows Live on my system is 32 bit. Is there a 64 bit version of Windows Live and
if so, how do I get it.
Before I upgraded with the Skype/Messenger combined I had the news updates on the main page when I signed in. As I never use Skype and feel unlikely to use it I felt a bit cheated when the news was no longer available. So I deleted the program and re installed Messenger.
But still no news just Social updates. On my laptop where I never agreed to get the Skype version there is still the news. How can I fix this?
I already use Skype and do not need to merge my accounts or contacts.
I have a paid for email address plus a Hotmail account all under Windows Live Mail.
As far as I can determine I no longer require Live Messenger ... how can I delete this programme from my Windows 7 64bit pc?
Sur Windows 8, (64bits) le programme Windows live mail, ouvre normalement et gèle. l'assistant compatibilité des programmes ne réussit pas à le faire fonctionner.... Quoi faire ? J'ai besoin de Windows live mail, Merci. (P.S. sur Windows 7, tout allait
bien)
I'm running windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and using Windows Live Mail. Recently, the categories that I have set up in contacts are not saved so that when I try to email a category, there are no contacts in them . I have gone back and re-entered the contacts
and clicked save but It still doesn't save them when I go to use them.
Frustrated
Hotmail often hangs for a minute.
I have cleared history, run optimising software and searched the web but no apparent solution.
I use Mozilla Firefox 64 bit browser and windows 7. Is there a solution or does one need to use another messanging program?
