I installed Office for Mac 14.2.4 on Saturday.

My entire Identity was erased - all emails, contacts and calendar entries.

When I try to rebuild from a previous Identity (from before 14.2.4), it just erases that older Identity that was backed up.    This happened with SP2 as well!  I cannot believe this was not fixed before SP3!!

I was scheduling a Go To Meeting recurring appointment, and suddenly I have a bunch of duplicate entries of existing calendar entries.
Hi all,

My wife and I recently purchased a MacBook Air and Office for Mac, and I'm having trouble configuring her Outlook accounts so that she can sync with her two iPhones (one for work, one for personal use). She was previously using Outlook for PC, so she has brought a lot of data to the conversion.

I can't understand where I should put her Calendar and Note information. Here is what I can figure out after talking to her:

1. She has an account for her company that is provided via a Microsoft Exchange server. Her company sometimes posts calendar information, such as meetings and appointments, into this account for all of the employees to see.

2. She also has a large amount of old notes and appointments that she doesn't need to share with other employees,  but are quite vital to her work.

3. There is also a large number of personal entries in Notes and Calendar that she didn't classify, and she had previously entered these (in her PC version of Outlook) on her company profile.

So my questions are:

1. Should I continue to use JUST her MS Exchange Server account for all Calendar entries, including personal things etc, or should I put personal things into the 'On My Computer' account? When, in fact, should I use the 'On My Computer' account? It seems that many people turn this off in Preferences.

2. She can only sync up to her work MS exchange Server via wifi when she is in her office. Will this pose a problem when working from home?

3. Will her iPhone automatically sync up to the 'On My Computer' calendar entries by default?

Thanks very much for your help!

Regards,
ANDREW

I am the exchange administrator, and my COO just received a new MacBook Air - we have Outlook 2011 set up, but he is receiving a sync error on about 15 calendar entries.  I've tried deleting entries that are old and no longer apply, completely from his calendar but the errors still appear.  Need help troubleshooting and narrowing down where these things are coming from so I can get rid of that exclamation point in the bottom right corner of the window.

An error occured while updating the calendar event "Calendar Event"

Please delete this event and create a new event

Error code: -19126

=---=

I would be happy to delete the event to get rid of the sync error, but theres no way to tell which calendar event it is.  There are 6 calendar events called "Birthday" I don't know who's birthday it is or what birthday to delete! How can I track this problem down?
I rebuilt my identity as outlook wouldn't open.  After the rebuild Outlook opened but then all my folder names were gone and replaced with 'Recovered Folder 1, ...2, 3...etc.  I tried to rebuild again and the folders returned but now I can't save anything to a folder and I'm not able to create any new calendar entries.

I still have the original identity saved as a copy but haven't tried to copy/paste that under the main identity file yet.

this app is making me miss outlook on my PC...

Any help is most welcome!
In Outlook 2011 , when trying to change the time in a recurring meeting series, the edit series option gets greyed out and I'm unable to change the time.I'm opening the series and not a single occurance.
I cannot make calendar entries/schedule meetings in Outlook. Double clicking a time slot results in no action and right clicking shows the possibilities greyed out. I have rebuilt the database but that didn't help. Perhaps a coincidence but I recently upgraded to Mountain Lion.

When I delete items from Outlook from Office for Mac 2011, from folders such as email-inbox, they go to the Deleted folder. When I delete these from the deleted folder, they go to the trash. When I delete other items from folders like contacts, calendar entries, tasks etc. they go to the trash, not the deleted folder? Is this correct?.\

When I click on the TRASH icon and select "All my files", it appears to contain only  items such as those above. They show in trash to be  "messages", "events", "contacts" etc. Does "All My Files" reference only those in trash, or does it means all the files on the hard drive. Are these only all the files in trash?

If these are only the files in trash, then I assume I select every entry from top to bottom, (there are more than 10,000 itmes) and delete all?
