I can’t manage to add my outlook.com account to Outlook 2010 (Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business)

It won't addmy outlook.com account using Auto Account Setup - that produces the message "An encrypted coonection not available", so I click Next and then get the red cross when it tries the unencrypted approach.

And nowhere can I find the manual settings I need by following the supposed instructions Microsoft gives when I log into my account using web mail. The Options gearwheel doesn't produce the response that the videos say it will.

I renamed my Microsoft account to an @Outlook or a different @Live or @Hotmail …can I change it back?

I renamed my old Hotmail account to a new one with Outlook.com. Is it possible to change it back to my previous Hotmail address?

HOTMAIL ALERT on my email

I have a hotmail alert on my email stating my Hotmail has been limited and asks me for my password, etc. I am suspicious and my computer person told me to delete. The sender has a msn.com name but not hotmail. There was a case number also listed and a PP number. The frustrating thing is how to contact Microsoft and validate or not this email.

I have received others in the past and deleted them with no problems but of all I have received this one looked legit except the sender email address.

Messenger ocassionally shows contacts. Most of the time not.

Hi,

like a lot of other people, I also acquired an Outlook.com address some days ago and now I'm experiencing problems with Messenger. Most of the time all my contacts appear as being offline, but occasionally one or two will appear as being online. I know that many of the people listed as offline are in fact online, but I still can't see then. Why? I know it can take up to 24 hours for it to work, but it's been like three or four days already.

What About Hotmail Accounts?

I have seen so many questions and answers about problems with Outlook.com. I don't want all this. I don't want to get into this business of transferring contacts and emails to Outlook.com.

I have an easier issue.

Can I continue to use my Hotmail address on Outlook.com indefinitely? Will I sometime in the future be forced to change my email address from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** to name @Outlook.com?

Contacts not appearing online on new live.com account. Have not converted to outlook.com.

I created a new live account two days ago. I am able to log in and receive invitations from other users, which I accept. They appear online, but I am unable to message them; once I've signed out and back in they appear offline. Contacts do not appear online; I have not converted this account to outlook.com.

This is on a rebuilt machine with a fresh install of Messenger. This issue seems to persist through different operating systems and chat clients (ie. pidgin, android, mobile messenger app).

Thoughts?

Que conveniente.
Tipico de Macroshaft, no dar respuesta concreta a sus usuarios y esperar que se cansen u olviden de las preguntas o consultas que no quieren responder o solucionar.

no puedo entrar a mi correo,me pueden decir qué hago,ya recibí la "nueva "contraseña en mi correo de yahoo.com.ar….5 veces y aúb así no tengo acceso..hay respuesta ?

I cannot link my new outlook.com account with Microsoft Outlook for MAC 2011. I have never experienced these problems with my hotmail account, I simply added the hotmail account and it functioned correctly.

I have tried to add a new account, using my new outlook.com details, all to no avail!

What do I do now?
