HI all - having a problem with my mother-in-law's computer - for some reason it can't sign into the Outlook.com account I've set up for her any more.

It used to work but had problems with displaying the People page - in attempting to troubleshoot I reset the cache, removed AdBlock, and reset the zone settings to their defaults.

Since then every time the browser tries to go to outlook.com it gets in a Ping-Pong match between login.live.com and blu177.... and eventually gives the error message shown above.  It's been a couple of hours now and the behavior is consistent.

Her account seems fine.  I've tried changing the password but that didn't help.  She can view her calendar (which directs to bay01...) and Skydrive but not Mail or People, both of which seem to be housed on blu177.

From other computers the same account can access both Mail and People which both still appear to be coming off blu177 at that time as well.  She can also access from Chrome on the same computer - just not IE.

I subsequently downgraded to IE9 from IE10 but the problem persists.  She's not computer savvy at all so we don't want to have to explain to her how to use a different browser...

Anyone have any ideas?

Hello,

I have a Windows 8 phone; I have a Windows 8 (soon to be 8.1) computer.  When syncing, how come the pictures of my contacts from my phone do not show up on my computer? I should think this would be an automatic thing.

Any suggestions?

Many thanks,

I thought that if I saved an office document in my SkyDrive folder then I would be able to see it on another computer, but this isn't happening for me. What I get is a file with the same name and then it has the name of the computer that I used to create the document with.

Why is this happening?

Is it because I have two different versions of Office on each computer? I have a desktop running Windows 8 that has Office 2010 installed and I have a laptop running Windows 7 that has Office 2013 installed on it.

Please advise.

WHEN I START MY COMPUTER I CAN OPEN LIVE MAIL ,IF I LEAVE I CANNT OPEN IT AGAIN.

THE ONLY WAY I CAN GO BACK IS TO RESTART MY COMPUTER....????

Original title: WINDOWS LIVE MAIL

My computer has recently automatically updated Windows and I now find that Live Mail is blocking all .doc and .docx attachments as "prohibited file types". I can access them by unticking "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" in Safety Options but feel that that could leave my computer open to viruses that might be contained in other file types. Microsoft Word attachments to stored emails are also blocked when the box is ticked. I am running Windows Home Premium which came with the computer when I bought it.

Has anyone else come across this problem and is there a solution.

Hi-

I am unable to receive email on my computer, but I am able to send them. I am, however, able to send and receive email on my phone.

I am using Outlook 2007 on a Windows 8 computer. I do have POP accounts but nothing has changed recently and the last email i received was yesterday at 5:30pm when I usually receive over 100 emails a day and like I said, am able to get them on my phone.

This is the third time this has happened. The two previous times, I just magically started getting emails again. What is the problem?

All of a sudden Im getting this note when I send and receive.  I just bought computer and am using windows live mail.  It was working today.  Im having nothing but issue here.  I need to fix this or try another email program.  Any suggestions?

Have the Outlook on my Samsung Galaxy S4 but it's not sync'd with the computer.

If I work the email on my computer, I have to re-do everything on my phone and viceversa.

I called Microsoft and they told me to ask here, they didn't have an answer.

Anyone having the same problem?  How did you fix it?  The Outlook app only has 2 1/2 starts, doesn't seem to be rated well.

Thanks!

My Live email account was working fine up to about 1000 UK time.  Then it stopped receiving or sending email.  Not limited to computer and home internet connection as my phone also cannot pickup the mail through 3G connection.

I had this question answered a while ago on another computer. It is still happening on this computer.

1. I can not find the answer.

2. I used to be able to find all of the questions that I asked by clicking a button after signing in but, I can no longer find the button.
