I recently created an outlook.com account that I wanted to sync with my desktop Outlook program. In order to do that, I had to use the Outlook Connector. After Connector was installed, I tried to insert the correct account settings, which was trial & error
(I'm not a techie). What I wound up with is a primary Outlook account that is not functioning but also a secondary Outlook account that does function except for the fact that new mail notification does not work with it.
I would like to change the secondary account to the primary account and keep that as the only email account. Can this be done without disturbing the settings on the secondary account, which is functioning well?
i recently purchased a new computer with windows 8 ...prior to that i used my hotmail through connector to outlook and they mirrored each other correctly .
i set up outlook again on my new pc with connector and find that all my folders have dissapeared ...i cannot see them in outlook .com
any one know why this has happened and how to get them back (5 years of work !!!)

I want to setup my live.com email address on Outlook 2011 so that it syncs my read messages and folders with Outlook, but when I try to set it up through an Exchange server or IMAP, it doesn't work. It forces to POP3, which is not going to work. Is there
a "Hotmail Outlook Connector" for Mac? Or is that also a PC-only capability like OneNote? If there are IMAP server settings that I could use with Outlook, please indicate them here. Thanks!
Sort it out!!! Get the Mac linked up to Windows Live Mail etc.

Facebook chat used to work find with Live Messenger. Then one day it stopped working..
I have deleted the connector and reinstalled it via MSN - this did not solve the problem. I deleted the app from Facebook, then from MSN.. then reinstalled it. This did not solve the problem.
The Facebook connector claims it has installed correctly - I get a new group on MSN messenger showing everyone on my Facebook - but everyone is showing offline all the time even when they are 100% on-line.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?

I have two calendars in Outlook 2010, the default one for home and other for work. I want them both to appear in Windows Live.
I've installed Hotmail Connector and the default calendar from Outlook appears in Live, no problem, but the other one doesn't appear.
I've tried publishing the work calendar and sending an invitation to myself (same account for Hotmail and Windows Live) to subscribe to it but I'm told that the calendar has to be made public before I can subscribe. However, it's private so I can't do this. Import and export is no good; they need to sync.
I haven't tried the other way around, that is to create a calendar in Live and sync it to Outlook, so this might work, but it isn't what I want to do. I need to create the calendar and events in Outlook and have them flow through to WL. Not sure what I'm forgetting or whether this is possible. Hope someone can help.
