My hotmail account is set so that I can only receive mails from people in my contact list in my inbox but since yesterday I have been receiving a lot of junk mail. How can I resolve this problem without closing down my account?
To explain the title in further detail, earlier today I was clearing out a couple spam emails from my inbox, and on one of them I accidentally clicked "always showcontent from this sender", or something along those lines.
Annoyingly, I'm now receiving more messages in my inbox, all claiming "This sender is in your contact list" under the additional header info, despite each of the corrisponding emails being from a different address. Of course, I immediately checked my safe senders list and contacts list to see if I could locate anything unusual to remove it, but this was a no-go.
Is there some other method for removal I'm not aware of? Or better yet, why isn't there a button for reblocking senders within the same email?
Some assistance would be appreciated.

I already set my Junk mail filter to exclusive and yet I am still receiving emails in my Inbox from senders not part of my contact list.
I have had this account for years, and never had an issue until recently. I have rechecked my contact lists and ‘safe senders’ to insure that only persons or groups I know are able to reach my inbox. However, obvious junk is still being
sent there, for example I just received an email from @s9z.pqex3n.5ixy.net which is not even a valid domain…
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'm getting spam in my in basket and outlook is telling me "This sender is in your contact list " but I cannot find the name in my contact I want to delete it.
As of yesterday junk emails have suddenly started appearing in my inbox despite the filter set to exclusive. Having looked at the emails they all claim to have been sent on behalf of someone else and all state they are in my contact list. Having checked
my contact list thoroughly, my safe senders list, safe mailing list etc. none of them are on that list. Given that my inbox emails appear on my phone this is exceptionally annoying. Given that I currently have a live subscription to what was Hotmail plus I
am rather annoyed that this has suddenly started happening. Going by other posts people have made this is something that has recently started happening to other people as well, most of them yesterday indicating that something is wrong your end. Please get
this sorted and do not advise, as you have others, to create rules or block phrases as they are all random junk.
I have 2 hotmail accounts and now the contact list for each includes contacts from both and from windows mail on my computer. I would like to keep each contact list separate. Is that possible?

Some of my incoming mail is ending up in my 'sent' mail. It appears to be happening to mail from some people in my contact list but some others from my contact list is coming into my inbox. Any ideas of why this is happening?
Our email was hacked and spam was sent out to our entire contact list. We got it 'fixed' reset our password and sent out a notice of apology to all contacts. Now when we send out email our 'sent from' line looks something like RABIAGIAbwbyAGEAAeaA...
no one will open as our address has already sent them spam and now it really looks suspicious. Can this be fixed or are we going to be forced to set up a new email? This is really important to us as these were all business contacts.
Thanks,
Deb

Hello:
Yesterday there was a problem with Microsoft itself, in accessing hotmail.Today l see they have corrected the problem but now my contact list seems to be gone? When l try to go into "people" to see what's up and or to resubmit the addresses l remember,
the people folder won't open and says,"sorry, there is a problem. If this continues, contact microsoft." I contacted them by phone and they directed me here. I'm frustrated and just want to send an email. what do l do please?
thank you
