Hi There,

I've just setup a custom domain, and am trying to connect via IMAP in Outlook 2010, and it keeps asking for username and password to connect to imap-mail.outlook.com

I can't for the life of me get it to accept the correct username and password.

However, when I check online, it says the email is not active.  I've set the MX records exactly the same as my personal email address, and it simply will not work.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?  Does IMAP not work on custom domains or something?

I was referred here by https://twitter.com/MicrosoftHelps/statuses/385240828165517312

I am attempting to utilize my client’s domain for Outlook.com's custom domain feature. The domain is BellaVitaPayson.com - however because the word "pay" is in it, it looks like Outlook is flagging it. Is there any way I can get around this? Payson is the city in Arizona that the salon is located in and has as far as I can tell little to nothing wrong with it word wise, that should get it banned.

The exact message I received when attempting is "This domain name can't be used because it contains a protected word or inappropriate language. Please contact support if you feel this is not the case."

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Dear Support,

We have taken the decision to host our company email with Outlook.com using our custom domain (domains.live.com), we have 16 accounts and every email on those accounts is very important. At the time that we change the MX record of our domain to point as directed by domains.live.com, all accounts will stop receiving its corresponding emails. Our question is the following:

Is it possible to update the MX record as indicated by domains.live.com, confirm ownership of the domain to get it activated, and as soon is confirm as activated, change the MX record back to the old server so no emails are lost, then go calmly into domains.live.com and create all the accounts (about 16) and when they are all created, then change back the MX record as directed by domains.live.com.

We are planning to do the transfer this weekend, so your attention to this question will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advanced.
I set up an Outlook.com custom domain for a client, which I've done a bunch of times before, but now she needs to add another address to the domain and I cannot figure out for the life of me where to go to do this.

If I go to http://domains.live.com it just starts the process of setting up a NEW domain, which isn't what we need...we need to log into the existing domain account to add a new e-mail address.

Where / how is this done?

Thanks!

Hi, I'd like to have the password reset option enabled for the following domain:

wastv.org.au

The domain is for a not-for-profit student organisation, with the email services used to facilitate more formal email discussions.
