I can't access my live ID account. When I tried to reset my password it said that the account does not exist. Apparently another account was set up using my alternative email account. This email account does not have any of the files I originally have. I tried to change the alias back to my original email account, but it said that name is already taken. I've called customer service and they gave me a site where I can try to reset it, but the survey said my account does not exist. I've called customer service again, but was redirected to this Q&A page.

PLEASE HELP!

I got a email from Microsoft Customer Service *** Email address is removed for privacy *** telling me VERIFY THIS EMAIL ADDRESS TO AVOID IMMEDIATE CLOSURE.  It will be easier if i just paste the email here,

Is this a actual e-mail from Microsoft or is it a scam?

For about a week I have been locked out of my account. When I logged in Monday, it said they believe someone else might be using my account. I followed the prompts to fill out additional details like animals name, zip code, previous emails sent. It did not work. I did it again. It did not work the second time.

 

I called customer service. No help.

 

I was on messenger with customer service. Nothing.

 

Then I get an email from Microsoft, advising me to just open a new account because I've tried to many times.

 

I cannot open a new account as I have recently been applying for jobs and this is the email I use.

 

Today, I log in to see if I can get into my account, AND I am able to get in! Usually it only shows 1 email to send a reset link to, but today it showed my other Hotmail email that I use. I log into that one, click on the link to get into my account I've been locked out of.  I update my personal account details and I change my password. Then I log out. When I logged back in, I get the same error message, that someone is trying to use my account, and it NO LONGER shows that there is a 2nd backup email address. So, once again I am locked out!

 

Please help as this email is very important to my life and finding a job. Thank you!

I AM NOT ABLE TO ACCESS MY ACCOUNT, HAVE TRIED TO RESET PASSWORD, FILLED OUT THE LONGER FORM (PEOPLE YOU HAVE EMAIL RECENTLY, SUBJECT OF EMAILS), SPOKEN THE CHAT TEAM AND A TEAM FROM THE US AND THE PHILLIPINES, EVEN THOUGH I LIVE IN LONDON. MY ACCOUNT HAS BEEN BLOCKED FOR OVER 3 WEEKS+ NOW. I HAVE 3 ACCOUNTS AND WAS ABLE TO ACCESS IT BECAUSE THEY WERE LINKED AND AFTER TRYING ALMOST EVERY METHOD CAN STILL NOT ACCESS MY ACCOUNT IF SOMEONE HAD ANY IDEA REGARDING HOW I CAN MOVE FORWARD SO I CAN JUST ENTER A PASSWORD TO LOG INTO MY ACCOUNT PLEASE AND THANK YOU
In my Hotmail account, I clicked the link which appeared to be from a friend. The next day, I could not get into my account. Customer Service told me to do password reset. It did not work (including "email me a reset link" and security question"). I also completed the extended questionnaire that comes up when you click "I can't use any of these options". Nothing is working. I was not sent a password reset or even a response after I filled out the extended questionnaire. The last thing Customer service told me to do was to post in this forum. Please let me know how to get into this account! (I need all of those emails in order to take my medical Board Exam ASAP.)

OUT LOOK SUCKS. I HATE IT. I HAVE HAD THE ACCT FOR 1 YEAR AND KEEP ASKING ME 4 TIMES A DAY TO VERIFY MY ACCT.

I ALSO PUT IN MY PHONE NUMBER TO SEND ME A TEXT AND IT DOES NOT SEND ANY TEXT CODE. DID THIS 100 TIMES.

CANT GET ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR OUTLOOK. WHAT A MESS THIS OUTLOOK IS. I LOVED MY HOTMAIL AND DID NOT HAVE ALL THESE PROBLEMS. EVEN WITH MY WEBSITE  EMAIL ADDRESS IS IMPOSSIBLE.

 

ANY ONE OUT THERE WITH A SOLUTION. DONT TELL ME TO GO AND READ THIS OR THAT .... DONE THAT. AND NO HELP.

Look, this is my last attempt to get help.  Get this to a manager because I've had such a bad experience.  If you don't make it easier for me to get this problem resolved you don't deserve my business. 

 

The email address in question  is *** Email address is removed for privacy ***.  I couldn't take your ads anymore so I paid to upgrade the service for that reason only.  And the ads are still there!  Its a web-based email.. thought logging out/in or clearing cache would work. It didn't.  I called the billing dept and they couldn't help me.. but an hour later they pointed me to this help portal.  Let me tell you about your help portal.. it doesn't help.  I haven't been able reply to private message as the screen just spins waiting for something to happen.. the tab becomes useless and I need to close it.  So don't tell me to reply with screenshots in a private thread because its not working for me.

 

Last chance.  I don't think anybody in customer service should need anything else from me.. you have my email, take my word for it.. the ads are still there (If you require a screenshot before we can move forward please just pass me along to cancel the paid service as I refuse to spend any more time on this issue..  Please send customer service messages to the same email.
