hotmail to outlook

After reading a number of threads about missing emails i would like to ask......i have emails dating back only to 18/7/2013..... great but i HAD emails dating back years on my hotmail.com account. i haven't changed any settings to my knowledge (limited as it is). most of these old emails were important hence why i didn't delete them. if there is a way of recovering these undeleted emails i would be sincerely grateful. 

this is my first time posting so if i am missing any detail i will respond.

I just found out all my emails dating back from before 8 June 2010 are not in my inbox anymore?! I have been using hotmail since 2002, so you could imagine I am missing a lot of (important) emails! 

PLEASE HELP / ADVISE
