My Macbook Air crashed and I am trying to import my backed up Outlook files in Time Machine to my Mac desktop. I found the "Main Identity" in Time Machine but it isn't clear to me how I then copy/import those files into Outlook on my Mac. I tried reading
a few of the previous postings but it wasn't 100% clear...would anyone mind re-explaining it? Thanks!
I cannot open my Outlook version for Mac. I keep getting the following messages:
1) Upgrade Office database
2) Rebuild database utility
3) Identity is older than this version of outlook.
4)It will not allow be to rebuild it reads "done" Help is really needed.
5) I just purchased the new license for my desktop MAC. I synced my laptop MAC to the new desktop MAC than realize that I could not open my Word,PPT, Excel. Never used Outlook on my laptop.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My outlook 2011 on my Mac crashed. I have restored the 'identity' found in "Office 2011 Identities" in my Time Machine to my current desktop. I then renamed the identity to a new name and then copied it to my current "Office 2011 identity' folder. I
made it the default identity. Outlook database utility asked me to rebuild the identity and that is where the problem starts.
It will:
It will:
- Scan
- Verify
- Copy records to new database
- Recovering data
all those go great, BUT the next step it comes up with: YOUR DATABASE could not be rebuilt.
What am I doing wrong?
Off and on, for past 3 days, when accessing hotmail, it comes up blue letters, and virtually inaccessable. One computer runs XP, other runs Windows 7. The XP is seldom used and pulled it out to ensure husband had not (again) done something wonderful.
Hotmail runs fine on Ipad. Also had same experience, today, at MSN. But only once. Help
it was added when i sent computer in for repair and i cannot get rid of it. It is a pain having to wait while it loads before i can do anything on my computer.
I have recently purchased a Macbook Air with MS Office. I mostly use Outlook on a desktop PC with Outlook with exchange server 2011. I also access my emails with iPad and iPhone.
For some reason, on my Macbook Air, some reoccurring appointments appear twice or the appointment has been stretched over a couple of days? This only seems to be on some and not others?
Has anyone seen this before?
under Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac, How can I move numbers of e-mails from my Outlook Inbox folder from my iMac desktop to outlook inbox folder of my MacBook Pro ?

Hi, My outlook would not open this am. (switched to Mac from PC in May and had my database transferred to the new Mac). 14.2.2 Office. I tried moving files as directed (com.microsoft.Outlook.plist and 4 others) from the Library to the Desktop and then
tried opening outlook to no avail. Then moved the Microsoft User Data folder to the desktop as directed. I can get Outlook to open now, but none of my data is there. How do I get my data back into Outlook? (i did make a duplicate copy and that also is
on the desktop. it is a huge file, took 30 min to duplicate) Thanks,
Grace S.
I'd like to send files without having them automatically zipped and or compressed. Many people I send files to have iPhones or iPads and are unable to open these files until they are sitting in front of a desktop which is not efficient when something needs
to be reviewed on the spot. I have checked on line and searched the help bar in Outlook, only to find no preference setting to do so. Is this option even available? PLEASE HELP!?!?
