What type of file is created when Easy Transfer stores email to a hard drive. Where is it located on the hard drive.

We are having difficulty transfering email using Win 7 easy transfer.  The old mail was on XP SP3 (Outlook Exp.) The wife transfered the email to a hard drive because we could not do a direct transfer nor a network transfer.  But we don't know what the emails extention is for Outlook Express nor do we know where the Easy Transfer program located them.  HELP
