I have person in my contact list that is sending email that occasionally I'm not receiving.  He has been sending me the same email to another email address, and I always get the email there, but only occasionally receive the email in my hotmail/outlook.com mailbox.  He is in my contact list, added to my safe email filter, and it does not appear in the Junk folder.  Am I missing something?  Is there another area it could be getting blocked?  It is my daughter's soccer coach, and the irony is I more often receive the email when it is sent as a group email than when he emails me separately...  Any help would be appreciated...

I've replied to an another message in the forum regarding Outlook.com's Exclusive email filter setting not working correctly.


My issue is that I've removed all safe/blocked senders and should only be getting email from addresses in my contact list. This is blocking valid senders (e.g. Microsoft, Amazon, USAA, ...) but is still allowing spammers through. When I view details of the message I'm told that the send  is in my contact list. This isn't true.


I then looked at the message source and found that the spammers are including three From addresses:

From:=?ASCII?B?Kk1hdGNoLmNvbURhdGluZ1BhcnRuZXIq?=
From:gddf<*** Email address is removed for privacy ***>
From:vcb12bb*** Email address is removed for privacy ***


Note that *** Email address is removed for privacy *** is gddf ...


I have removed myself from my contact list, but it still comes through. I guess you can't omit yourself!


Maybe you can mark Spam anyone who had multiple "from" tags in their source?

Starting a few days ago I have been getting up to 20 obvious junk emails a day in my inbox. Never before has junk email gone to my inbox and I am starting to get very annoyed. I have not entered my email on any websites so i have no idea ehy this has started. I do not want to set my email filter to "Exclusive" since I get multiple emails for work that are not on my contact list. I have set rules and blocked senders and neither of these solutions have helped. I dont have time to sort through all of this junk mail and i would appreciate someone looking into this.
Just today I started getting spam messages into my Hotmail inbox but my email filter is set to exclusive.  Hotmail tells me that the addresses are on my safe senders list but I have checked and they are not.  They are absolutely spam and I do not understand how they are getting through.  I see some other users are having the same problems.  I updated all of my security information which has not corrected the problem.  Seems like a bug that spammers are getting through.  Is there any resolution coming?  When is it coming?  Thanks.
